Lawyer in the Loop ("LITL") is a subscription-based legal advisory and review service that provides individuals, startups, non-profits, small businesses, and other cost-sensitive users with licensed attorney feedback on their document drafts. This legal advisory and review service supports users who draft their documents independently, whether through traditional means, templates, or popular AI or Large Language Model tools. By offering licensed attorney oversight in this way, Lawyer in the Loop helps users bridge potential gaps in legal standards and mitigate avoidable risks by providing affordable legal services in an accessible way.

Our licensed attorneys carefully review each document, regardless of the drafting method, to verify that it meets applicable legal requirements if any. We offer the skillsets needed to navigate legal ethics and business considerations; hire, train, and manage employees; and manage litigation that in-house legal departments so often address entirely and assist with identifying and managing the use of outside counsel. Lawyer in the Loop complements the convenience of AI with the thoroughness of licensed legal expertise, making quality legal guidance accessible without the high cost of traditional law firm retainers.

LITL subscribers submit their document drafts—whether generated by AI or otherwise—through Lawyer in the Loop for licensed attorney review and feedback. Each document is analyzed by a licensed attorney to ensure it meets compliance standards and to address any legal nuances that may otherwise be overlooked. Lawyer in the Loop is non-litigation in nature and does not cover family law, probate, criminal matters, or active court filings such as discovery or deposition documents.

As a legal advisory and review service, Lawyer in the Loop is not a substitute for formal legal representation but rather direct access to a licensed attorney's review of user-generated drafts and feedback. Lawyer in the Loop is “AI-friendly,” meaning it supports users who leverage AI but does not currently offer proprietary AI models for drafting or review.
